Information Services
Yukon Council on disABILITY provides up-to-date information on local services and agencies. We maintain a library of current publications, journals and brochures.

Computer Lab
Our computer lab is open to people with disABILITIES and others engaged in disABILITY related work. Available for use is a wide range of adaptive equipment, such as alternative keyboards and mice. The lab is equipped with high speed internet, a printer and a variety of current software including, Word, Excel, Dragon Naturally Speaking in English and French, Kurzweil and Typing Software.

Opportunities Fund
Yukon Council on disABILITY assists Yukoners with disABILITIES in accessing funding from the Opportunities Fund. This fund provides financial support to those people with disABILITIES who do not qualify for Employment Insurance benefits.

Targeted Wage Subsidies
Targeted wage subsidies (TWS) are an employment benefit with the purpose of assisting targeted individuals to gain employment through direct work experience. TWS encourages employers to hire individuals that they would not normally hire in the absence of a subsidy. TWS can help unemployed people to gain experience to secure employment.

Pre-employment Services
We offer a variety of individualized pre-employment services including resume and cover letter development, interview skills training, basic computer training and assisted job search. Informal career counselling is offered to people with disABILITIES who are exploring their career and education options.

Job Coaching and Employment Support
Employment services may include, job coaching, work experience placements and follow up services. We provide ongoing support to help maintain healthy employer/employee relationships and develop problem solving strategies.
