Yukon Council on disABIILITY is a non-profit organization whose Mission Statement is:

"To be a resource for Yukoners with disABILITIES on issues of equity,
community awareness, government policy and employment"

Ms. Lisa Rawlings Bird - Executive Director
Lisa brings her extensive knowledge of YCOD’s Mission and Goals, her unbridled enthusiasm, and her team leadership skills with her as Executive Director. Lisa is responsible for all day-to-day operations including – coordinating activities of the organization including supervision of staff, compiling reports, responding to project ideas and development, writing proposals, providing direct support to clients and administering office finances.
The Executive Director is also responsible for media and public relations and ensuring that YCOD continues to maintain an active presence in the Yukon. Lisa has a degree in Social Work from the University of Regina, and has worked with persons with disABILITIES for 13 years in a variety of capacities.
Ms. Cynthia Thornewell - Education and Employment Services Coordinator
Cynthia has recently joined the YCOD team. She has extensive professional social work experience in both urban and northern communities, primarily in health care settings as a medical social worker with a wide variety of clients. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology as well as a Bachelor of Social Work degree from McMaster University.
With a commitment to ethical client-centred practice, Cynthia respects and supports individuals in their desire to identify their goals and to reach their maximum potential. She firmly believes that we all have unique strengths and the ability to make valuable contributions to our community.
Cynthia will be pleased to support you in developing your employment and educational goals, by providing assistance as you prepare a resume, explore potential funding options for education and training and throughout the job search process. 
Ms. Amy Martey - Employer Liaison/Job Coach
Amy has two roles at YCOD; one as an Employer Liaison, and the other as a Job Coach. She works closely with clients to help them find employment. Amy networks with employers - explaining all the benefits of hiring persons with disABILITIES. Once a job is found, she supports our clients in many ways, including; support during the interview process; checking in on the first day; or if needed, supporting the client on the job until they are confident with the tasks required to be successful on the job. Amy has a degree in International Development and a passion for grassroots community development. Prior to coming to YCOD, she advocated for disABILITY programming in West Africa. Amy is eager to help you find and maintain meaningful employment. 
 
Ms. Celeste Le Clair – Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper
The most recent addition to the YCOD team, Celeste brings with her years of experience as an Administrative Assistant in customer service environments. Celeste has almost completed and continues to work on her Associate of Arts Degree in Psychology at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. She enjoys working with and helping others and will be ready to greet you at the door with a smile.
